Langley Lawn Bowling Club
What is Lawn Bowling?
Lawn bowling is an outdoor sport where players roll biased bowls towards a target ball called the jack, aiming to get as close as possible.
Lawn bowling, also known simply as "bowls," is a precision sport played on a flat, green surface known as a bowling green. The objective is to roll your biased balls (or bowls) as close as possible to a smaller white ball called the jack. The game can be played individually or in teams, and it is suitable for players of all ages and skill levels.
Lawn bowling is often compared to bocce and regular bowling. Unlike bocce, which is played on a different surface and typically involves larger balls, lawn bowling is played on a flat green and focuses on precision rather than knocking down pins, as in ten-pin bowling.
